Executive Team – DENCAP Dental Plans

Dawn (Lentine) Dorsch
Dawn has been the president of DENCAP Dental Plans since September 2025. Following a notable career in automotive sales serving both Tier One and Tier Two suppliers in roles of increasing responsibility, she joined DENCAP in 2015 as executive vice president, eager to contribute to the growth, energy, strategic vision and mission of the family-owned business.
Guided by the lessons and leadership of her father, Joe Lentine, Sr., and late brother, Joe Lentine, Jr., Dawn brings her own unique skills and talents to the president/owner role, engaging the DENCAP team to provide affordable dental insurance products and outstanding customer service in a people-first environment, while preparing for future challenges and opportunities in the insurance sector.
Dawn holds a Bachelor of Arts from Michigan State University and is active in civic and philanthropic initiatives in the City of Detroit, including the Cathedral of the Most Blessed Sacrament, Beyond Basics and Life Remodeled.

Kristal Mott
Kristal has built her career at DENCAP over the past 15 years, rising to Vice President of Finance after roles in project management, operations and bookkeeping. She oversees the accounting department and all day-to-day financial matters, including financial audits, state and federal financial filings and reports. She also leads product development and corporate compliance. Kristal co-founded and served ten years on the board of Know Resolve – a youth suicide awareness and prevention organization – volunteering her financial and project management expertise.

Precious Stigall
Precious has had a remarkable 20+ year career at DENCAP, starting as a high school co-op student and moving on to positions of increasing responsibility within the organization to now serve as Vice President of Operations & IT. In this role, Precious oversees all day-to-day insurance operations, systems, and employee training and development. Precious is active in Not on our Watch (NOW!) – serving as the social media coordinator – as well as being an active participant on the parent committee at UPrep Schools in Detroit.

Dr. Denise Coleman
Dr, Coleman is the Dental Director at DENCAP. A dentist for more than four decades, Dr. Coleman is also a general dentist with her own private practice in Detroit. She holds a Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Michigan and an undergraduate degree in biology, also from the University of Michigan. Dr. Coleman is active in a number of civic and professional organizations.

Joseph Lentine, Sr.
Now serving the company in an advisory board member capacity, Joe founded DENCAP Dental Plans in 1984 with a mission to bring affordable dental coverage to Detroit residents and positively impact their overall health and wellness. Always civic-minded, Joe set the tone for the DENCAP spirit and tradition of serving the community while serving our members. In founding Books for Kids with his fellow Detroit Kiwanians, Joe followed his belief that if you can read, you can work and have a better life.

Joseph Lentine, Jr. (1967-2026)
Joe was the chairman of DENCAP Dental Plans at the time of his death, having served until September 2025 as the president and majority owner for nearly 20 years. Originally an engineer, Joe had a successful career in the automotive industry for two decades, last serving as Director of Global Supply Chain Engineering for General Motors before joining his father, Joseph Lentine, Sr., at DENCAP in 2006.
Joe ultimately took over the reins of the company in 2009, continuing his father’s legacy of integrity in action, directing the company to new levels of growth and opportunity.In addition to strategically guiding DENCAP as a second-generation family business owner, he was a prolific volunteer and community game changer, with a career-long interest in equal opportunity.
His philanthropic pursuits and affiliations included the Detroit chapter of Entrepreneurs Organization (EO) and Detroit’s Kiwanis Club #1. As a Kiwanian, Joe led DENCAP’S efforts with the nonprofit Books for Kids, which has given away more than 2 million books to Detroit-area youth since it was founded in 2001 by Joe Lentine, Sr., and fellow Kiwanians from the Detroit Club #1. Joe was named in 2023 a Crain’s Detroit Business Notable Leader in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) in 2023.
